This month I have the honor of being in three very different publications: Tin House Magazine, the first issue of Sarah McCary’s Guillotine, and (drumroll…) GQ Magazine. I’m not sure how I got to be in an unapologetic, feminist chapbook series and a famous men’s magazine in the same month. It is just one of many great mysteries by which I am fortunate enough to be confused.
Another mystery, yet more compelling.

Hi- this is a bit unrelated to your Oct appearances, but I read an article that I think you wrote (A Ride With A Serial Killer). I was incredibly pulled into that story, far beyond anything I’ve read in awhile. The fact that there is no trace of some of these murders and the people involved is a failing of our system. You never mention trying to contact the families of these victims – although being runaways, that may have been equally difficult. Thank you for a very thought provoking story and I’m very glad that you were one of the ones who made it out!
